Sofia stock exchange blue chip index drops, Doverie United Holding leads declines
SOFIA (Bulgaria), Sept.28 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian Stock Exchange’s blue chip SOFIX (BSE) index fell 0.30% to 570.10 points on Tuesday, mainly dragged down by a 5% drop the share price of Doverie United Holding [BUL:DUH], the stock market data showed.
A total of 62,289 Doverie United Holding shares traded Tuesday at an average price of 7.4312 levs on the Sofia Stock Exchange.
Turnover in the main BSE market fell on Tuesday to around 2.3 million lev (1.4 million lev / 1.2 million euros) from 3.1 million lev on Monday.
The top listed company on Tuesday was Balkan and Sea Properties REIT [BUL:BSP]. Up to 27,363 shares of the company changed hands at an average price of 19.20 LEV, contributing some 525,400 LEV to daily turnover.
A 5.19% drop in the share price of the electricity company CEZ Distribution Bulgaria [BUL:CEZD] weighed on the BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded stocks on the Sofia Stock Exchange, and the BGTR30 in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight. The BGBX40 fell 0.52% to 132.82 points, while the BGTR30 lost 0.42% to 647.10 points.
The BGREIT index, which tracks seven real estate investment companies, edged up 0.07% to 160.76 points, due to a 0.90% increase in the share price of the Bulgarian real estate fund REIT. [BUL:BREF].
