Liverpool appear to have found another up-and-coming star in Colombia winger Luis Diaz.

The 25-year-old arrived late in the January transfer window from FC Porto and has already impressed during a short spell on Merseyside.

Having already made his Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League debuts, Diaz looks all but certain to have an influence on Jurgen Klopp’s side in the pursuit of trophies.

Speaking to Football Insider, Noel Whelan hailed the Reds boss and recruiting while praising the striker’s early performances.

“Thanks to Jurgen Klopp. He’s looking for players who can hit the ground running and players who fit into his system really well. What a finish too, wow. That was a typical Liverpool goal – a great ball from Henderson “, a brilliant diagonal run and a nice composed finish. You only get that from quality players. Jurgen Klopp wants those players who can come in and make an instant impact, and he’ll be really important for the direction of the title this season. Everything credit goes to Liverpool, they have identified what looks to be another gem.

Diaz got a Liverpool debut goal against Norwich City at the weekend to add 16 strikes and six assists for Porto this season.

True to form, it looks like those responsible for bringing players to the club have done it right once again.
