Marico stock price: Marico shares gain 0.82% as Sensex rises

The shares of Marico Ltd. traded up 0.82% in Tuesday’s session at 12:28 (IST). The stock opened at Rs 518.0 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 518.0 and Rs 507.0, respectively, during the session so far.

The stock traded a 52-week high of Rs 606.0 and a 52-week low of 379.05. Around 72,332 shares have changed hands on the counter so far.

The benchmark Nifty50 was up 22.75 points at 17236.35, while the BSE Sensex traded 103.16 points higher at 57724.35 at the time of writing.

In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks traded on the day in the green, while 24 were in the red.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 2,444.0 crore, down 4.23% from Rs 2,552.0 crore in the previous quarter and down 21.23% from compared to the quarter of the previous year. The company reported a net profit of Rs 309.0 crore for the last quarter.

Promoter assets

The promoters held 59.51% of the company’s capital as of December 31, 2021, while the FIIs held 25.55% and the MFs 2.64%.


On the technical charts, the stock’s 200-day moving average (DMA) stood at Rs 519.6 on Feb 08, while the 50-DMA stood at Rs 504.46. If a stock is trading above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means that the immediate trend is up. On the other hand, if the stock is trading well below 50-DMA and 200-DMA at the same time, it is considered to be in a downtrend and if it is trading between these averages, it suggests that the stock can go both ways.
