Budvanska tops Montenegro’s top winners in August
PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 2 (SeeNews) – PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 2 (SeeNews) – Hotel operator Budvanska Rivijera [MNG:BUDR] dominated the blue chip winners on the Montenegrin stock exchange in August, as stock indexes ended, according to stock exchange data.
The Montenegrin Stock Exchange’s premier index, MNSE10, closed up 3.78% in August at 773.09 points.
The MONEX benchmark, which tracks the 20 most representative stocks on the Montenegro Stock Exchange, rose 1.54% in August and closed at 11,042.22 points.
A total of 537 Budvanska shares changed hands for a turnover of 2,825 euros in August. Budvanska gained 19.52% to 5.2609 euros.
Port operator Luka Bar [MNG:LUBA] punctuated the first-rate declines in August, with its share price falling 8.33% over the month to 0.3576 euros. In total, 20,274 shares of the company changed hands, generating a turnover of 7,250 euros.
Total stock market turnover fell in August to 340,541 euros ($ 402,900) from 2.347 million euros a month earlier.
A total of 92 deals were completed on the Podgorica Stock Exchange in August, up from 117 in July. Market capitalization stood at 3.20 billion euros at the end of August, against 3.169 billion euros a month earlier.
